The Custom Home Process – How Does it Work?

Our building process allows you to have a total hands-on experience. From selecting materials to be used in your home to applying your own design ideas, your participation not only helps create the authenticity of your new home but is highly valued at Robert McNearney Custom Homes. Because this method is absolutely transparent, you will have a complete picture of ongoing costs and full disclosures of costs being implemented into your project.

Though we offer affordability in custom homes, we partner with the best, most experienced subcontractors to create your new home. And we don’t cut corners…only high-quality materials are used to build your home that will last for generations.

Choose from our floor plans and make unlimited design changes, or create your own design with our team to customize a design that fits your family’s specific lifestyle goals.

THE PROCESS - STEP BY STEP

STORY MEETING

The first meeting is a listening session where information is gathered by our sales team to understand you and your family’s needs and what is important to you. For instance, school districts, community amenities and home layouts.

DESIGN MEETING

The second meeting is to learn what features in a lot are important to you and will meet your needs. For example: the build site, the lot size, style, backyard and maintenance.

DESIGN MEETING #2

In the third meeting, floor plans, designs and budget needs are discussed in greater detail.

PURCHASE ORDER

We finalize a purchase agreement that meets both your budget and family needs.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING

Robert “Bob” McNearney will meet with you and your family and will again review the final spec book and go over your building plans. Now, the building process can begin!
